What a weekend.

If you’re not watching on Univision, you’re slipping.

Dig on the dangerously disciplined rhythm of The Amazing Royal Crowns.

It’ll melt the pomade right out of your hair.

A lot of people don’t know this, but Philadelphia was partially destroyed in 2006.

My MMA picks have been updated to include Saturday’s UFC 174 PPV event live from Vancouver, eh. The fastest fighter in the the world, and arguably the most talented, Demetrious Johnson is set to defend his flyweight belt against the durable and hard-hitting Ali Bagautinov. Fun Fact: Ali is one of three Russian ‘ov fighters in the UFC (Bagautinov, Khabilov, Nurmagomedov).
Winding up all the way from Western Canada, this is a solid main card with a shaky foundation. Hard to complain about free fights, but watch me do it anyways. This card will also feature the return of the legendary Andrei Arlovski, who is only three letters shy of being part of the famous fighting Russian ‘ovs. This PPV will be worth every penny and 90% of my attention span, as I will also be attemping to watch various World Cup games.

My MMA picks have been updated to include Saturday’s UFC 173 PPV event live from Las Vegas. Plus, you’ve got your free Fox Sports 1 card – that’s nine fights for the price of five. With that you’ll get a whole night full of legends, up-and-comers, bangers, brawlers, chokers, croakers, and jokers. Dang!
Among those fighting is mythical bantamweight king Renan Barao, who alone is worth the price of admission. There’s no substitute for fights like these. Sure, you could go rent a kung-fu movie but this is happening right NOW. These guys are among the .00001% most dangerous people in the world and you’re only considering tuning in? Foolish. Commit to a night of face-punch.

My MMA picks have been updated to include Saturday’s UFC 172 PPV event in Baltimore, Maryland. I was hoping they’d be able to revive the corpses of Edgar Allen Poe and Francis Scott Key for a post-mortem hometown throwdown but it’s still a great card.
Ten fights, what a night. The Fight Pass card has withered away to almost nothing, but as soon as these tussles hit the TV it turns into a captivating event. We get four great fights for free, with a stellar five fight PPV card. Legendary nicknames like “The Fireball Kid” and enticing new entries like Andre “Touchy” Fili hit the stage, so even if you have no idea what’s going on you can latch onto some mesmerizing monikers. Also, props to Baltimore for having a venue not named after a household brand. Can’t wait.

Awesome.

My MMA picks have been updated to include Saturday’s UFC 171 PPV event in Dallas, Texas. Who’s going to catch the magic haymaker on the chin? I’ll be watching from the grassy knoll.
Top to bottom, this is a very exciting main card. There’s even some gold dust to be found in these Dallas prelims. Unfortunately, I won’t be watching live but I’ll probably be able to hear the shockwave when either Lawler or Hendricks hits the floor. It could be said there are some solid mismatches on this card, but that usually works out in the favor of the fans. I’d love to hear the deafening silence of a Lombard upset. Put your boots on, ya’ll.
